Susan K. Goldstein

Former State Representative Susan Goldstein has been a full time advocate in Tallahassee for the last 24 years. Educated in Pittsburgh, she has a degree in Marketing and studied Finance at Duquesne University. She is an accomplished Investment Banker who began her 17-year career in Pittsburgh as a Compliance Officer and General Securities Principal.

She moved to Florida in 1981 and joined Richardson GreenshieldsSecurities, a NSYE firm purchased by Interstate Johnson Lane. She served as Vice President and Trading Supervisor for FloridaFixed Income Trading. Susan was responsible for Municipal, Treasury and GNMA proprietary trading, syndication, underwriting and market making for all fixed income products and Unit Investment Trusts. Subsequently she joined ABN AMRO in the Capital Markets Division as a proprietary CMO trader and Vice President of the Unit Investment Trust Division.

After a successful career in finance Susan ran for the House of Representatives. She was elected to the Florida Legislature in 2004 and represented Broward County District 97 in the Florida House of Representatives. Susan served on the Business Regulation Committee, the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee, Education Appropriations, Choice and Innovation Committees and Children and Families. She also served on the Conference Committee for Health Care Appropriations.

Following up on her experience in the House of Representatives Susan became a successful lobbyist. She has been honored to represent many not for profit organizations. Her passion and speciality is in Health and Human Services and represents many clients that help developmentally disabled kids and adults. Susan has raised and secured hundreds of millions of dollars for charitable organizations, through appropriations and rate negotiations for providers and programs to assist persons with disabilities and our most vulnerable.

Her primary focus is and has always been, helping those who cannot help themselves. During her service in the Florida House of Representatives, she served on numerous committees, and the most vulnerable citizens including children with autism, medically needy, behavioral health, foster children, and the developmentally disabled, were always her first priority. She is an expert in Medicaid Waiver and AHCA issues. After many years as a single practitioner Susan decided to join forces with the Legis Group in 2019.
